Welcome! As a passionate educator, certified SEL specialist, and play therapy practitioner, with over 15 years of experience in the world of education, teaching children ages 4-12, I've seen firsthand how essential emotional development is for lifelong success. Appropriate expression of emotions is something that needs to be taught, nurtured, and practiced.Yet, in today's fast-paced world and as academic pressures continue to rise, the emphasis on social-emotional learning doesn't seem to be taking hold.  The impact on this miss step? Potentially leaving much of our youth behind, without the necessary tools they need to express themselves, build resilience, and navigate life's challenges as many of us, both educators and families alike are learning as we go, without the support or resources to bridge this gap. At Sparklr Edu, I support families and educators with practical, engaging, and judgement- free resources to help children develop a growth mindset, confidence, and compassion. Through play-based learning, workshopping, coaching, and hands-on activities, SEL can be approachable and fun. When children feel seen, heard, and empowered, they sparkle.
